This attractive old tank sits by the depot in Port Alberni, BC. By railway standards it is a small 15,000 gallon tank but it seems huge when compared to the typical tiny plastic tank models. The AP tank can be used in other scales too, representing an 11,000 gal tank in 1:20.3 scale, an 18,000 gal tank in 1:24, a 32,000 gal tank in 1:29 and a 43,000 gal tank in 1:32 scale. If you are working in other scales, be sure to check the height of the water spout against the height of your engine tender and alter it to suit if necessary.
