WX Interlocking Tower
|
The WX tower of the New York Central R.R. stood in Welland, Ontario, Canada to control a crossing and junction using the typical manually operated lever and rod system. The tower was built in the late 1880s and served until March of 1973, controlling traffic on the NYC bridge route between Buffalo and Detroit as well as local traffic of the Canadian National Railway. |
