D&RG Section House

This section house was designed by the D&RG in 1887 and, apparently, the plan was also used for section houses on the Rio Grande Southern. It appears to have been the home of the section boss, and the big dining room was probably used to feed the whole track gang. The structure would also serve nicely as a ranch house, a town home, or even a small depot for your railroad. The drawing is full size to G scale (1:22.5) but could be reduced in size if a smaller footprint is desired. The back kitchen shed could be omitted as well.
