Atlantic Cable Silver Mine at Rico, Colorado
| The Atlantic Cable Mine was built in the early 1880s by the Dolores Silver Mining Co. It was considered to be one of the richest mines in the Rico area but, by 1907, the mine�s focus had turned to zinc and, in World war Two, the mine produced zinc and lead. Our plan is based on a number of basic measurements taken during a visit in 2009, along with over two dozen photos. |
